In answer to your email, there was.

As we were ascending, during one of our breaks, quite a number of very pretty cheerleader-like young women came down past us. (Not making this up.) Sadly, the camera was strapped to my back in its case and couldn't be obtained fast enough.

However, when we were at the top, there was still more than just the view. And here they are, snipped out from the discarded snapshots that never made the cut, hidden where your wife won't easily find them.

Enjoy the eye candy.

The following pictures, presented for Paul's benefit, are actually tiny cropped areas from the batch of photos that didn't work out. For example at the end, you can see someone stepped into frame as I was photographing Pete.

Those of you who've looked at the "big" size photos of Pete's portraits from the hike (such as this one) the images are larger than most browsers, or screens for that matter.

Thus, we have the benefit that clipping a tiny centimeter or so square out of an image yields an impressive set of thumbnails.

As for the rest of you, no, I don't know who these women are. I don't have their numbers. I haven't got a clue to their emails. I only spoke with one of them briefly. Stop asking me!
